Well here we are in 2003 and the crisis is escalated a bit, this time in Imperial Valley where desert farmers will most likely lose their water supply and the people of San Diego and Cochella Valley (Palm Springs Area) will lose there water supply rights. A 75 year agreement would have insured disaster in the future to these areas because the water was not enough with current growth in the aras of AZ, NV (Las Vegas Area) and PHX to supply it. 800,000 cu acres of water are in question in CA now. An agreement was not reached and a cease and desist court filing will be filed by the FEDs who are in the control of the dispute over who can use how much water from the Colorado River. It is a real issue and the areas are over build. SRP in AZ has already cut 50% of it's water, natural habitats are being drained to supply water to an increasing population. In NV Las Vgas has been growing by leaps and bounds, in AZ 3 million people now reside in the PHX area and in Cochella Valley lots of golf courses and new houses. Also realize that some of the Imperial water goes over the hill to San Diego where there is tons of growth in that region as well. The water supply is not sustainable and therefore the problems are becoming real bug. What does this do to affect the Car Wash Industry? A lot, more than you might believe.
