Aircraft Washing and Cleaning of HUD-Heads Up Displays. We have been studying HUD-Heads up displays for some time http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0803/00000033.htm and also the hand held PDA which seem to now be interlinked to the HUD systems. More and more of the aircraft we clean have HUD for the pilots and recently we saw one for the Co-pilot in a Gulfstream 4 and 5. The EVS Enhanced Vision Systems unit sends the data from the pilots HUD to the co-pilot as well. Thus the co-pilot has the data too. Also good is the new interactivity in private jets of the PDA pilot assistants. The system has a HDD-Heads Down Display as well; http://www.kollsman.com/avievswindow.html . The other system we saw in a Citation recently was unique also was that of Chelton Systems Inc, which had an interesting article in Oct. in Flying Magazine (pp 84-86). The system incorporates flight management, GPS, and electronic flight instrument system with built in WAAS-wide area augmentation system. We like the Chelton System has an in dash screen along with the HUD. We believe the Flight Logic system display to be also superior because the unit shows the rising terrain. By combining the systems of in dash and heads up along with the system of dual HUD for both pilot and co-pilot it appears that many of the problems of previous pilots are a thing of the past. We believe the best for all worlds is synchronized HUD with terrain enhanced Chelton System. We will see these in later models, which will soon be out. So far the current system is absolutely worthy of those flying IFR, but we believe enhanced infrared, night vision, HUD with Chelton System commanding the other multi systems would not be information overload for pilots and still allow for zero-zero landings and HUD for those who need the added edge of safety. http://www.cheltonflightsystems.com/s_overview.htm . We were fascinated by the new screen and went out to buy some handy wipe monitor cleaning material. We are now recommending only special cleaning material be used for cleaning all this nifty electronic military hand me down equipment: Apparently these devices are becoming more widely used in Commercial Aviation, thus adding another notch in the Aviation Safety History Books. http://www.prophet.net/quotes/stocknews.jsp?symbol=FDX&article=290u2223 . http://avsp.larc.nasa.gov/pdfs/csrp25.pdf . We are recommending this product for cleaning. http://www.klearscreen.com/ . For more information on our services go to: http://www.JetWashGuys.com
