I would like to take this opportunity to discuss my plan for the Commerce Secretary's Appointment of The Czar of Manufacturing - First Item On The Agenda and how to put America back to Work. President Bush was correct in his speech in OH on Labor Day in calling for Commerce Secretary Don Evans to create a Czar to Manufacturing Sector is a great forward step to help put America back to work. This is an awesome idea http://www.westernherald.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2003/09/02/3f53e469caef7 How would I know about manufacturing jobs in America? Well, I have been studying these things because they affect America, jobs, customers of WashGuys and therefore affect our teams. http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/00000028.htm -------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/00000024.htm ----------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/0000002b.htm ---------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/00000013.htm --------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/0000002c.htm ----------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/00000009.htm ----------- http://parthe.net/_cwg0703/00000002.htm ---------- . Now then, What is Needed for America and Jobs for the Middle Class? First order of business is to establish a "Red Magic Marker Committee" How would I know this? Well back in 1992 we did just that at a local level, it did not hurt safety, it did not cause headaches or problems, it simply worked and it worked well. Of course it took a little bit of pushing to get it done, but it was a good exercise in making things happen, providing jobs and helping all types of businesses, I would say manufacturing got the greatest benefit along with agriculture. Our service sector did well too. It was all good and that is good enough for a start. http://www.carwashguys.com/history/museum41.shtml Here is the article of my first mention of it. I had the brainstorm and helped start the “red Magic marker Committee” I build my business across the country and see things have gone to hell without me there. We need a National Red magic Marker Committee and delete all those old laws on the books which are of no value or are not relevant at all and basically out dated. Second we use these deletions as a practice to form groups of people to go through the OSHA Standards, ADA, FCC, FAA, DOT and delete all those laws which are not needed or are unduly choking off productivity. Any laws in the future added by any legislature must have ten additional laws removed for everyone added. Then ask the State Governments to look for duplications of Federal Laws and delete those state by state based on cost to enforce, lost productivity, which reduces tax base inflows to the state and administration to monitor. We can start with franchise laws, trucking, railroad, aviation, etc. Any law that obstructs flows of commerce, energy, transportation, communication, education, distribution, flows of currency, free markets, agriculture, must be justified to stay on the books. Otherwise axe it. Why do I think this? A friend of mine liked my idea back in the 1990's his name was McClintock. And back then Gray Davis was State Controller and his special assistant put accepted my nomination to serve on the economic committee: http://www.carwashguys.com/history/museum83.shtml and Hell although this was back in 1993 it is as relevant today as it was back then, when Gray Davis was only state controller and Tom McClintock was an Assemblyman in CA. http://www.carwashguys.com/history/museum175.shtml and http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0503/00000014.htm As we discuss the future of California and discuss jobs for our nation, it appears it is the same old night mare over and over again and again. Why is the greatest country in the world not listening to those who care the most and have the answers? From Education http://www.carwashguys.com/history/museum46.shtml , economics, jobs, crime and health care, it is the same story, let’s get this stuff fixed once and for all and stop basking each other in politics and rotten legislation, attacks on free markets by regulators. Let’s fix and keep it fixed, there is no excuse we have all been here before. It just is the same old unacceptable problems all of which we have solved before, we do not need to be doomed to a history of tragedy, job losses and stress. Listen Up America, we need your help and as Bob Hope would say, just “Get it done!” Any comments on how to run the country, state, a business, your schools, your community, just email me, better ideas? Send them here: Lance@carwashguys.com Come on America we are smarter, stronger and better than this, we can do anything, we are a strong Nation full of great people, from top to bottom the United States has what takes to stay number one. Let’s dump the attitude and infighting and politics and get with the program. We got the ball and it is first and goal, tied game 2 minutes on the clock, I think this all ours now. Let’s restate this, it is bases loaded, tied game, 7 inning, no outs and three power houses in the line up behind the number one two batter on deck the number one league record holder is at bat with no strikes, no pitches and no problems. Any questions? I cannot do everything but for god’s sake listen up America, I know what I am talking about, we can do this, we must commit and work together on this. The clock is ticking and it is time to win this game. Now let's get out there and score. The fans are waiting, let's do it. Whooorraahhh. NFP.
