WashGuys gives respect to Jim Cantalupo. McDonald's Corp.'s chairman and chief executive, Jim Cantalupo, died of an apparent heart attack Monday. He was 60. If you had not heard we are sorry to be the one's to have to tell you this. Here is a brief summary in case you are unaware of Jim's incredible contributions to the franchising industry, McDonald's, International Trade and all of Mankind; http://www.media.mcdonalds.com/secured/bios/cantalupo.html . Thank you Jim for everything you had done for franchising, we should all celebrate your incredible vision, passion and perseverance to our industry and the betterment of all mankind. Thank you for everything, our hearts go out to the family and staff at McDonalds. Jim, had done so much and was still in the process of doing so much more. Cut short, but he achieved more for all of us than any of us may achieve in our lifetimes. All thoughts are good and his vision will live on, we must all see to it. We must feel his passion and spirit as we move mankind forward and celebrate the World of Franchising. We will report more about this later as the IFA will also have some kind words to say about all Jim had done. There website is: http://www.franchise.org . Any comments or questions as to the excellence Jim had inspired or the commitment and dedication he carried in all his endeavors, you may email me; Lance@carwashguys.com We are so proud of you and what you have given all of us in franchising. Taking Jim’s place will be Mr. Bell, who started his career at McDonald’s in at age 15. WOW, looks like McDonalds will be in great shape, but Jim will be one tough act to follow.
