Want to live longer? http://www.betterhumans.com/News/news.aspx?articleID=2004-04-14-3 . It just might be possible which in fact brings us to the topic of Greenspan alerting the citizens that if we do not relax the burden on Social Security then there will not be any when you retire. I’d like to recommend this book to everyone: http://www.parthe.net/_cwg701/00000028.htm . Well the records of yesterday will be broken as people live longer. Multiple careers, causing transfers of technologies into different fields and the increase in the forward progress of mankind. Excellent, can hardly wait for the future. Of course people will need to work longer retirement at age 60 really isn’t in the cards for a person living 137 years old, after all that is less than half. Times are changing. How will this effect third world countries with lower life expectancies? Interesting stuff in the world. Check this out: The General Accounting Office (GAO) today released the following reports, testimony, and correspondence: Developing Countries: Achieving Poor Countries' Economic Growth and Debt Relief Targets Faces Significant Financing Challenges. GAO-04-405, April 14 http://www.gao.gov/cgi-bin/getrpt?GAO-04-405 or just scan the highlights: Highlights - http://www.gao.gov/highlights/d04405high.pdf . And if we can keep stability in the third world and emerging markets perhaps we can prevent radicalist International Terrorists too? Along with a little help from other technologies in Bio-science sniffers and sensors for instance here is another interesting article; Electronic Sensor Technology's zNose http://www.estcal.com/ . Profiles Cargo Container shipments.. Source: Business Wire (press release) – USA; NEWBURY PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2004--Electronic Sensor Technology today announced a new anti-terrorist technology based upon their commercial sensors. http://home.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20040416005502&newsLang=en . Other technologies are being tested and are fully operations in places like Port Newark, Blout Island Jacksonville, Port Houston and Long Beach. If there is nothing to fear, how will the human race continue to innovate and what will they spend their time doing? Businesses and government have invested heavily in technologies to keep us safe, some of this technology wil have incredible commercial uses to make our lives better RFID for instance can be used for both DHS, Military and private sector logistics. FCC Loosens RFID Rule for Homeland Security. Source: BPM Today - Woodland Hills, CA. The Federal Communications Commission has adopted a new rule allowing allowing the use of more powerful radio frequency identification (RFID) tags in US commercial arena; http://bpm-today.newsfactor.com/story.xhtml . Perhaps active RFID units can be put on top of bus stops and advertising coated with Smart Dust to turn color if there is a bomb nearby which activates the active RFID device and pings the satellite meaning the driver is alerted in case he does not see the bus stop advertising turn color; to simply not stop and by pass the bus stop that trip. So many uses for letting people know where the bus is, safety at the bus stop, safety against bad guys and so on. Just think how nice the world will be driving in a safe and clean bus? http://www.BusWashGuys.com . Similar devices being used in airports, soon on baggage, terminals and in the aircraft themselves. Other new devices are also being built for aircraft to help us be safer in the way of Zero/Zero visibility aids and HUD Displays all this will go into the next generation of airlines and private jets. And even though the market is a little tough right now that does not mean they will not try to bring new and exciting new models into the market to help themselves sell more jets. As a matter of fact there are several new smaller private jets coming out soon including one by Honda. The dynamics of the general aviation market sector related to private jets is going to be turned on it’s head, lots of new and exciting things going on there. Aviation folks are a tough crowd and we may see another bankruptcy in the Airlines due to the high fuel costs, but this is not the end of the world. And we can always ask the Chinese to help as they are progressing as fast as we are in things for instance this article in today: China develops software stopping hijacked planes from crashing People's Daily – China According to Tianfu Morning Paper. The No.2 Research Institute of Civil Aviation Administration of China has developed a kind of safe, effective and low-cost too. http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/200404/19/eng20040419_140843.shtml . But if it doesn’t work any better than the other stuff they have been sending over to the states or it turns out ot be another copy of something we already have that was stolen. And I mean this in the most sincere terms, since they forgot once to give us an airplane back and I have been watching other stuff too; http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/00000049.htm . It is not just pointing fingers or saying hey you are different than me, therefore I hate you, because I do not, just an observation as Western World meets Eastern and as ideas of eastern culture and knowledge share meet capitalistic markets where knowledge is proprietary and costs money. So maybe the Chinese software is not any different than what Raytheon and Lockheed are making for our net-centric dominance, maybe it is and maybe if a Chinese Astronaut can fly 17 times around the planet that it would work. Maybe not and we are all doomed, DOOMED like the FedEx commercial. Well then? In case it is the end of the world shouldn’t you be in the car wash business? Why? Well simple really. When the droughts come and then when the locusts come, you may wish you were in the Car Wash Business, because they will be splattered all over all the cars? Yep, it appears so. http://tamworth.yourguide.com.au/detail.asp?class=news&subclass=local&category=general%20news&story_id=300527&y=2004&m=4 . Global Warming is an interesting thing I tell you? We shall see about that one?
